Psychoanalysts tend to be as quiet as possible, especially in the beginning. You wouldn't really want to ask them questions that are that direct. So what you want them to do is just to think of whatever comes into their heads. In general, one person would be doing te interpreting and the patient would be free associating. Isn't there something really wrong with being the analyst and analyzand at the time? Yes, it's a bias. It's a very ou know that you could only go so far with it. And it doesn't matter if froid doesn't get himself, because all you need is an example of the kind of thing that happens.
