Caxton's Editing of the Vulgate Cycle

Most scholars thought that Mallory had originally just written eight kind of individual Stories that weren't necessarily meant to go together. Caxton did edit quite a bit out Probably for the better for the most part, but he took out some of Sir Thomas Mallory's references to his own biography things like that and so you now have both of these editions where like two different folios of a Shakespeare play might exist.
