What Is the General Trajectory of the Education?
Nodger describes being in a monastery and having trouble as a young boy, memorizing the long melismas. Music was typically taught by ear with basically students or children singing after they hear somebody else singing the same thing. So simply wrote learning by ear. Now slightly older children could be expected to be literate or could learn to read. And then a book would be an important support for the learning process.
