Bishop Mark Andrus talks about the friendship of Tiknahan and Martin Luther King, Jr. He says that even though they only met on very few occasions, they became what you call brothers. The late Congressman John Lewis gave a sermon in which he mentioned "the beloved community" Bishop Andrus: I had never heard the term before but it reverberated through me without knowing much about it at all.
