The Importance of Memory
We have the impression that we are recalling an experience that we've had before. But that in itself is a huge illusion. When we watch an event, we're not really perceiving it. And when we recall it, we aren't remembering it either. What we're really doing is storytelling. We can trip ourselves up very easily.
