The Free Exercise Clause and the Establishment Clause

The free exercise clause of the first memment is being strengthened by this cor in a very consistent way. The establishment clause, which we used to think of as protecting the separation of church and state, is being weakened. It's the fruition of a long programme for religious conservatives with with a slight change of emphasis such an important point. This was a term of very, very significant victories, you know, as you said, for kind of a project that was a long time in the making.
