The Evolution of the Panther Population
From 1986 to 1995, the minimum number of adult Panthers fluctuated from 24 to 32. As they got whittled away through poisoning and other predator control things, bounties, poisoning, you wound up where they were kind of existing in the wildest little corners. The only population that held on was this little isolated pocket of them in Southwest Florida. They're not, there's no primate that lives forever.
