Lenin's Dual Power

Algerian government continued to function as usual for over a decade, until local elections. The people of brebacha responded by storming the city hall and setting up a democratic general assembly inside the newly dubbed house of the people. This was dual power in its original sense, a council of the people facing off against an increasingly illegitimate parliamentary representative.
