The Origins of Occult Sciences
In some of the most central and famous books of occult sciences, we find clear influences from people like Al-Kindi. In any case, astrology itself continued to be a significant field after this, and still is today. By the 12th century, if not before, occult sciences and certain forms of quote unquote magic had become mainstream. At around this time, it also came to be strongly associated with Sufi saints and their spiritual authority. This includes how to make protective talismans using God's names but also discussions about magic and other things. The Rha'at al-Hakeem was perhaps the most important work or grimoire in the Islamic world since then.
