The Importance of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in the Russian Military
Russia went into the war in Ukraine with approximately 2000 or so UAVs spread out across its services and military districts. Many were shut down by Ukrainians, many were victims to electronic warfare, many actually were lost to pilot error. The importance of using military drones will practically any type of military or per-military operation is now completely enshrined. A lot of it has to do with the state of the Russian military industry and the defense industrial sector.
