i think that the impulse to just be purely objective is very understandable in a world where everybody is getting like, frothed up into mob rule. But like i argued last week, ret everything has its excesses. All human impulses can have good versions of themselves, and they can be taken way overboard or corrupted because we are fallen beings. And so i think it's going ultimately to be a mistake to veer away from tribalism into kind of pure rationality. On i read another seasos passage sort of discusses why might be.
