The Russian View of Ukrainians
I would see myself much more as a Russianist. And clearly that's why I focus much more on the Russian view of Ukrainians in the book. But also, I think having a wide variety of sources was very useful for me. So even though it had to be a lot of the thoughts kind of needed to be worked through... but how did we get to this bit? It just took a little bit of time to adapt to the new reality,. Then people tried to get back, I suppose, to where the original positions had been.
