The Energy Crisis of the Nineties
After the first gulf war, that produces a spike in in the price of oil. And then really through the rest of the nineties, and in the very early two thousands a we see oil prices a remarkably, remarkably low. I think things really start to change, though, er in terms of the judgment that's being made about them when the george bush junior administration takes office in washington. There isn't much of a reaction to it in democratic political debate. By the summer of two thousand and eight, where before the price as crashed, you start in to see energy becoming a really significant issue in the presidential election between bamer and mckane.
