Southside Tribe, welcome to our series! If you've had your ear to the street in any regard, you have probably heard the term, Critical Race Theory. There is a recent push by the mainstream American church to demonize anything that concerns racism, white supremacy, or diversity, by calling it "CRT". And in doing so, they are grossly misrepresenting (in some cases, outright lying on) the scholars who originated the discipline. The purpose of this series is namely to inform the confused, and equip allies who see and understand Jesus' heart for the marginalized and oppressed in any society. Disclaimer: this is not an apologetic for CRT. We are not proponents of the discipline of Critical Theory, or any of its counterparts. We are defenders of truth, wherever it may be found.
