Is Europe Getting Into a European Defense Industry?

There isn't really a European defense industrial base. Europe has not been focused on conventional warfare over the last 20 years. So they need huge contracts to come in, but it's also going to take them longer to develop those factories and build out those factories. This is where the EU is trying to play more of a role to incentivize cooperation. But it's really hard. And we have always been skeptical of the EU playing a role here. I think we should drop that skepticism because the thing that you as demonstrated can do is integrate. That's what we, I think, need to start seeing on the European side.
