The Importance of Reading Aloud at Home
Reading aloud at home can build literacy skills but also prepare younger children for school too. Susan Greenfield says that such reading helps to expand children's attention spans, encourage the sequential thinking and link cause, effect and significance. The results of a study called early reading matters led by Carolyn Kate's from the Department of Pediatrics at New York University School of Medicine etc. She has shown reading books with infants can boost vocabulary and reading skills vibrate four years later.
