If it were me and it's not me, I think that we need to be clear about this. This is Judy's goal, no, Joe's goal. 30,000 goes into retirement accounts and then the rest of the year. If you still have money left over, I love the idea of gifting it to people and organizations you care about while you're alive. They can use it sooner.
