How to Interview for a Design Role

If you're going for a design role, take note of who is interviewing you. Do they seem like they're excited to have you on the team? Do they even know what they're talking about? You'd be surprised how often people interviewing designers are not even designers. If there doesn't seem to be any UX designers in sight, this could be a huge indication that you're in the wrong place or join in a company with very low UX maturity.
