If I found out that the world was going to end in a week or just after I die, my motivation to produce these podcasts would completely collapse. That says to me that at least part of the motivation for what I'm doing here is that there's something that will outlast me. In a way who cares? How long the world survives or not? You do it because it's splendid so to do. And when you do that, authentically, you're in touch with a transcendent value that will transcend the world.
