You Uphold the Vegetarian Ideal, Not Just by Not Eating Blood

The religion teaches that all human beings can touch blood. The more develop the life you want to eat, the more restrictions you should accept. Fish is restricted in one fundamental way as it has scales and fins for all coser fish. If you want to go higher on the scale of life, we get to animals. And now a second restriction causes a higher form, namely slaughter, or shita. So again, this restriction shows that even in taking the life, there is awareness of the value and reverence and feelings of the other creature.
