The Double Empathy Problem for Autism
There's an article that you shared with me several months ago about the double empathy problem for people. I think it was specifically referring to autism, but within the neurodiversity community. The theory presented through research is that when given the opportunity to have neurodiverse, so it was autism in the initial study,. So the link it in the show notes to is it? Yeah, yeah. And I found another one that I'll give you the link for just a 2021 study that it builds on that work. But what they showed was that within the groups, there was a significantly higher sense of empathy and understanding ability to essentially sustain and grow social interactions between them.
