i would never dare to perform this piece, because i am quite sure that i could not do it justice. Rakmananof was very proudly russian, and the piece is full of slavic influences. But i love listening to it because it really does take me on a journey. It's just such a voyage through so many different emotions with the spine tingling final. I imagine that since the video now has almost six million views, which is not bad for a classical music performance,. iam guessing that ractre also undoubtedly has a lot of new fans as well.
