Physical activity has a huge effect on insolent sensitivity, which is one of the primary drivers of chronic disease risk. Exercise can reduce diabetes risk by something like forty five to 75%. You see the same thing with dietary fat. And so anything you do that affects your energy balance such that you're taking in less energy and you're losing fat, even if it's not a lot of loss, that is enough to substantially protect i diabetes.
