The Future of Workflow Update
Temporal is a system that lets you do real time payment processing in the cloud. The latency of making two separate calls to different workflows is much higher than if you could do it in a single round trip. So temporal can be used for this and other use cases, but there are some issues with versioning which need to be resolved first. And so what we've done is we've inspired by a lot of people in the community. We are now providing a second approach called workflow update.
