I hope in the long term we'll see shifts for the better. I think there's some kind of an assumption that all men dislike the idea of achieving general quality or feel threatened by it. Most women want to see further equality at home as well. And i think we really need to have men on board with this, because, sadly, there is still sometimes the impression that it is a women's issue.
'Sprakkar' is an ancient Icelandic word meaning extraordinary or outstanding women. It forms the basis of the new book by Eliza Reid, author and co-founder of the Iceland Writers Retreat, who is also the nation's First Lady.
