Fusion energy has the potential to provide base load energy. 20% of our electricity in the United States comes from fission power and nuclear energy. I was actually trained as a nuclear engineer and got the bug for fusion looking at some of the waste concerns safety concerns for fission nuclear power. It's one of the few options we have for a few firm energy to take up the base of energy that we need in our economy and to power the world.
