The history of pharmaceutical innovation is sort of rewritten through the lens of bottom-up push when in fact use a pull is much more important than people think. 9 out of 10 drugs that go into clinical trials have equally plausible molecular discovery myths and they don't work right which suggests that molecularly rational discovery myths are not very predictive. The other thing that got me interested was around transaction costs so again without knowing a huge amount about dows and and web 3.0 it's clear that the the costs of even evaluating the vast bulk of university-created IP are high using the conventional approach versus the expected value of that IP.
