The Importance of Immersing Yourself in Scripture

My mom had us memorize one verse at a time. We would always talk about what it meant and how it applied to our lives. Now I can tell you as I'm recording this podcast today I am 36 years old. Those portions of scripture are just forever seared in my mind. When those verses are needed the Holy Spirit will consistently bring them to mind. He has not wasted any of that time that my mom invested pouring scripture into us and making us memorize scripture.
