What's the Difference Between an Insulator and a Semiconductor?
The difference between a semiconductor and an insulator is just the size of that band gap. But also, there's a functional technological definition, which is whether you can dope it or not. The last five or so years I've been working on this material called gallium oxide. Up until 10 years ago, I was considered a ceramic hern insulator.
