Product Marketing - Should You Own Pricing?

In large, established companies, if you have a product marketing function, they should own pricing. Usually the chief product officer has got so many things on their plate that pricing just requires such dedication. And value and price are intimately linked. I don't believe that like finance or sales should own Pricing. They're important stakeholders and inputs into the process, but i think their incentives are misalined for them to own it.
