How Did the New Testament Come to Be?
These books were written by many different people over a stretch of time. The different books represent different points of view from different times and places when they were composed. They were collected into a canon in basically the first and second centuries a d. So jews collected and canonized their scriptures atBasically the same time that the christians were doing the same thing with their canon, which we call the new testament. Although as you probably know, christians to day also consider the old testament to be canon as well.
