The risk of hyponatremia increases when you give fluids that have lower oncotic or osmotic kind of volume to them. Phena can be helpful in the right clinical situation. I usually will not give anything less than half normal. Nick use usually like quarter, but half normal is kind of where I live usually. In pediatrics, we really don't like shotgunning things like necrosis with lab testing. We just need to think about each of these pieces and try to put you on one more time.
