Why We're Throwing Away Tech
In 2011 Americans threw away 151 million phones. 416,000 a day. Manufacturers are building electronics to last you know one or two years and there's a couple different things that manufacturers are doing. Gluing in batteries into phones and laptops is only going to live two to three years because the battery that we've glued into it only lasts that long. We have and manufacturers aren't giving consumers the resources they need to go in and get a quick swap done so they can keep their device lasting longer.
