Kubernetes is a way for engineers to easily distribute their code to edge locations and manage it centrally. The type of thing that you can do with Kubernetes, especially with the edge, is fascinating. I learned a whole new way of architecting systems that are still monolithic but relies on Kuerbernetes. It's an architectural uncompling that the returns come from a separate stream than the outputs.
