I think the human spirit responds to that feeling of open space and light. That makes it a luxury really isn't it? It's sort of a blessing. An extravagance one could call it because you are, it's non-functional space. In London, where space is such a premium, but it adds so much that is difficult to define. But you just feel it as you felt it as you came in. I mean, the double height is the fingers, lip space and light which hits you as you walk in.
