I think Facebook made a mistake. I mean, they tried really hard at various times to become Netflix. They failed at it, but they tried because it was a good business. The great original sin of this whole era is Facebook seeing Twitter's little baby Twitter is growing at a rate where if you extend the line, you know, it passes Facebook. And they were like, all right, let's get into the news business. It was actually driven internally by a field of competition with Twitter. You see,Facebook does instant articles. So Apple does Apple News. Google does AMP and suddenly the entire web has been colonized by proprietary formats.
