Seasonal effective disorder is a form of clinical depression. The symptoms can last sometimes even beyond those periods of winter or autumn or the colder months and kind of extend beyond when we would typically see them, which can obviously cause some pretty big problems. It's also more common in women than it is in men; there are people who have almost reverse seasonal effective disorder. But that is a lot less common. And we're going to explain why.
