The Origins of the Greek Language
Cadmus was the first to introduce the use of letters into Greece. He married harmonia, daughter of Aphrodite and had a son, Polydorus and four daughters. In Illyria, Cadmus and harmonia were changed into beautiful spotted snakes per Herodotus in the Theogony. And so one thing I ponder with this is have somewhere along the lines has the cultural nuance of tonality to the language been lost?
