The Barriers to a Follower of Jesus
I wanted to say the there are two needles, both of them fully on a you know, i suppose to thinking we have to ping pong back and forth between these. And that's the reality, but that's not the practice as i observed it. The data tells us that people aren't running from jesus. They're running from religion, institutionalized religion, or institutional religion. We want to be woven into the needs of our city, or our neighborhood and community. There is no barrier to that. We just haven't been doing itand i think the proof is, if we really are engaging at that meaningful way, why are we losing so many people?
