Machine Learning and the Problem of Autonomous Driving
Our driving school is London so we have a fleet of vehicles that we test every day through the complexities of London and other cities within the UK to learn how to drive. And we really take a machine learning approach so we let the vehicles learn to copy how humans drive. We've seen machine learning solve problems that are previously unthinkable for humanity to solve like image recognition, natural language processing or things like game playing agents. He does however admit that driving is not very like playing a game. Rather than knowing the rules in advance machine learning looks for patterns.
