Pauline put her mother had given her tape recorder. She was actually in San Francisco at the time, but she held the mic outside the window and realized that it was picking up so much more than she had been listening to or that she had heard. And that was when she decided to devote herself to listening more carefully. Do you still have that tape recorder? No. We've got some old reels, but I don't have that tape recording. It might be somewhere though.
