The Avocenna Tradition
Avicenna is still taught at Madrasas and has been fused with ideas from Safism and Kalam. The prevailing image of Avicenna is that he is close to mysticism or theosophy. Some scholars have admired him for this, including Iranian professor Saith Hossein Nasser. But others see a various as someone who separated philosophy and science from religion.
