Berkshire Hathaway owns the largest interstate natural gas pipeline system in the United States. Methane emissions have an impact on global temperature of roughly 84 times that of CO2 over a 20-year period. Research indicates methane leaks could erase the climate benefits of reducing coal use to meet internationally agreed upon climate change targets.
