What Is the Flex Sign?
The flex sign is based on the devotion of the Liz Frank ligament from the base of this second metatarsal. If it's not seen on x-ray, it'll be seen on a CT scan. When you're looking at an oblique film, you want the medial aspect of the cuboid bone to line up with the fourth meetatarsal.
