The Meaning of Baptism
Baptism is a rite performed upon bodies. It's a ritual connected with the fate of the body, death and resurrection. Baptism forms people in many ways from the outside in. It forms us by making us part of a society. We are united with christ in his death, in which his body was cut off from the old solidarities.
