Monomata turtles use suction feeding. Butyl suction is they open their mouth really quick creating a cavity in their throat that water then must rush in to fill that vacuum. Groopers are famous for just inhaling things into the stomach. They don't even have a sharp beak, like almost all other predatory turtles.
