For adults, an ADHD diagnostic evaluation should be conducted by a licensed mental health professional or a physician. Not every doctor or psychiatrist is trained in ADHD and the evaluation process can be long and costly. Try to seek out medical professionals who have experience with ADHD specifically. Most people that have adult ADHD had clear childhood signs that were likely missed.
