When I was 18 years old, I didn't think that I'd be directing a lab. My entire career really has been this journey of constant retraining and acquiring additional skills so that I can pursue the work that I do more effectively. So basically, for me, it's just been this long odyssey of trying to understand the biological basis of emotion.
