The Great Reversal
Professor bell echoes pythagoras by noting that the gods are personifications of the powers of nature. And since we are parts of the world, we too are changeable, for we're not only bodies, but winged souls. Such a reversal must, i think, be undertaken in spirit of what i call mythical thinking. The concern of the most resolute secessionries is not simply a fascinated retreat from reality that no longer invites participation, but rather a complete reversal.
