i found it interesting that so many of the characters from the book and that you've talked about are sci-fi writers right maybe that's just a function of how like well weird um ideas about essential risk were. Olaf Stapleton is massively underread these days, he was part of the same uh you know kind of community as howdane and burnow there's kind of proto-transhumanist outlook. I think stanislav lem was very much one of these he kind of does a lot of the groundwork completely by himself in his book summer technology.
